Mercedes has introduced the EQS 580 4MATIC, and the electric sedan has already received over 300 bookings. The EQS is available in two trims: EQS 580 4MATIC and AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+. Pricing for the EQS ranges from Rs 1.55 crore to 2.45 crore (ex-showroom pan-India). The sedan offers a spacious boot with a loading capacity of 610 liters.
The EQS utilizes an all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) powered by a 107.8kWh battery pack. The AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ delivers an impressive 658PS and 950Nm, with a WLTP-claimed range of up to 586km. When equipped with the dynamic pack, the power output increases to a total of 761PS and 1020Nm. On the other hand, the EQS 580 4MATIC produces 523PS and 855Nm, with an ARAI-claimed range of 857km on a single charge.
The EQS 580 4MATIC supports fast charging at up to 200kW, allowing the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
Both the EQS 580 4MATIC and AMG EQS 53 have the same charging time, as they share the same battery. The electric sedan boasts luxurious amenities, including a 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, which combines a digital driver’s display, infotainment system, and a passenger screen into a single three-screen unit.
It also features a 15-speaker 710W Burmester sound system, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control, and powered seats with a massage function. Passenger safety is a priority, with the EQS 580 4MATIC equipped with nine airbags and a range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). These include active distance assist, active brake assist with cross-traffic function, active steering assist, and attention assist.
