Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), a division of Tata Motors, has launched two brand-new EV-only retail locations under Tata.ev moniker in Kochi, Kerala. These upscale retail locations, which are conveniently situated in Edappally and Kalamassery, will provide the EV community with an exclusive and sophisticated car-buying and ownership experience that goes beyond conventional auto sales.
As the nation adopts more electric vehicles, consumer purchasing patterns are maturing and changing as well.
Customers for electric vehicles (EVs) increasingly demand that the brand provide a distinctive experience from the product to the ownership cycle. A new consumer-facing brand identity that reaffirms the company’s commitment to a future of mobility driven by the principles of sustainability, community, and technology answers this request from customers.
TATA EV New Store
The Tata.ev stores acknowledge that EV buyers have quite different expectations and act as the physical embodiment of these principles. Information, counsel, and direction are available in a welcoming atmosphere during in-store interactions.
As the country’s leading market for electric mobility with a 5.6% EV penetration rate, Keralans have led the way in embracing future-facing technologies, so it was an obvious decision for us to open our next series of premium Tata.ev stores there, says Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, the Passenger Electric Mobility and Motors Passenger Vehicles.
The distinct design and layout of the Tata.ev Edappally store set it apart from other nearby retail establishments. With an area of more than 8,800 square feet, it is the brand’s largest EV store in the nation, enabling it to showcase more than ten vehicles and provide enough of parking for patrons and guests. The store features a dedicated 60 kW DC fast charger, and the brand-new Tata.ev Originals accessory line is both on show and available for purchase.
In the coming months, a special EV service center that aims to improve the Tata EV owners’ after-sale experience will complement this store as well. This workshop, which has 17 bays total—12 for mechanical service and 5 for the body shop—can handle more than 800 automobiles a month and employs a highly qualified staff to take care of clients.
Great visibility and a quiet area are provided by the Tata.ev Kalamassery store for customers to peruse EV’s assortment. With more than 6,100 square feet of area, the retail store can display six cars and have enough parking for customers. Customers can charge their EVs while they’re at the store using a 60 kW DC fast charger, which is available 24/7. For discriminating buyers, the Originals accessory line will also be offered for purchase. This store will soon have 11 mechanical bays converted into a dedicated EV servicing facility. This workshop will have a staff of highly skilled technicians and be able to service more than 700 EVs each month.
A special area within Tata.ev Edappally and Tata.ev Kalamassery will be used for EV community events, such as workshops and get-togethers with EVOLVE members. Customers can view the price of their preferred Tata EV as well as the features and color options available in a specific persona through the customization screen. The EV Demystifier wall displays the different ways that consumers can charge their cars.
