The Top 5 Reasons to Buy the TATA Curvv EV

0

The Curvv EV, Tata Motors’ fifth all-electric car, has been introduced in India. The Tata Nexon EV series is positioned below this newest electric car. After all of that, these are the top 5 aspects regarding the Tata Curvv EV that you should be aware of. There’s a turning point when the Tata Curvv.ev reaches India. The sales of EVs have decreased globally, even placing pressure on Tesla, the market leader. Over the last year or so, hybrid car sales have increased in India, especially in the mid-sized SUV market, where cars like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder have been leading the way.

Tata’s Nexon EV continues to lead the market, although Mahindra and the elderly (and now cheaper) MG ZSEV pose serious rivals. But there hasn’t been much enthusiasm for EVs among private buyers, particularly those who don’t plan to use them for business. A number of issues have come up, including range anxiety, the higher cost of electric cars (EVs) than comparable cars with internal combustion engines, battery longevity, the infrastructure for charging EVs, and the viability of home charging.

Reasons to Tata Curvv EV

Competitive Rates

An EV’s initial cost of purchase has always been a major obstacle. The base price of the Tata Curvv.ev is Rs 17.49 lakhs ex-showroom, while the top model costs Rs 21.99 lakhs. In comparison, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, which has a powerful hybrid powertrain, starts at Rs 22.86 lakhs ex-showroom and is not eligible for the registration advantages that come with electric vehicles. Although there are others who contend that the Curvv.ev has superior features and performance, its pricing is more reasonable. For instance, the Curvv.ev is a more appealing choice than the Hyundai Creta SX(O) model, which has a 1.5 turbo petrol engine and a DCT gearbox and starts at Rs 23.72 lakhs.

Range & Charging

An MIDC-certified range of up to 502 kilometers is offered by the 45kWh battery, and up to 585 kilometers is offered by the 55kWh battery. Tata’s C75 standard testing, which simulates real-world conditions better, indicates that the 45kWh version can travel 330–350 km on a single charge, while the long-range model can travel 400–425 km. According to Tata, the battery can be charged to 150 kilometers with a 70kW charger in just 15 minutes. Additionally, charging takes only about 40 minutes from 10% to 80%. Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging are also supported by the car.

Function

The battery size affects the motor configurations of the Curvv EV. With a front-mounted motor generating 165 horsepower, the 55kWh models are said to be able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds. These versions have a maximum speed limit of 160 kph. However, the 45kWh models have a motor that generates 150 horsepower, which is a little less powerful motor.

Safety Features

The Curvv EV prioritizes safety, equipped as standard with an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, hill-start assist, descent aid, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), driver drowsiness alert system, blind spot monitor, and Level 2 ADAS features. Six airbags are also featured. It also features sound alerts that can reach up to 20 kph to notify pedestrians to its presence.

Unaffected Features

Tata has not compromised on features in spite of its cheap cost. With six airbags, Level 2 ADAS with twenty radar-based features, a 360-degree camera, ESP, hill hold assist, disc brakes on all four wheels, ventilated front seats, a 9-speaker JBL sound system with a 320-watt woofer, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with Tata, the Curvv.ev is expected to receive a 5-star crash rating from Global NCAP.

With its 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, 190 mm of ground clearance, and arcade that offers 20 apps and multimedia streaming when the car is stationary, it is the greatest in its class. For additional storage, the Curvv.ev has a front trunk (frunk) and a 500-liter boot.
