JSW MG Motor is preparing to launch the Windsor, its third electric car. Initially sold under the sibling business Wuling as the Cloud EV, this crossover utility vehicle (CUV) would sit beneath the ZS EV and is anticipated to cost less than Rs 20 lakh. Ahead of the festival season, MG Motor is getting ready to introduce a CUV EV, and the trademark application it submitted verifies the car’s name, Windsor. In this market, it will also be the first CUV EV.

The new CUV’s headlight design, which features linked LED DRLs, is based on that of the Cloud EV. Along with 18-inch alloy wheels and sleek door handles, the side profile is neat. Also located on the side beneath the A-pillar is the charging flap. It has linked LED tail lamps and a roof spoiler on the back. Blacked-out pillars, large quarter windows, and a panoramic top give it a unique appearance.

MG Windsor EV:  Features and Specifications

MG Motor claims that the Windsor will combine the greatest features of an SUV and a sedan. It is therefore anticipated that the cabin would be roomy and include a sizable 15.6-inch entertainment system. The Windsor will come equipped with an electronic tailboard, a 360-degree camera and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The ADAS technology will also be included to the CUV for safety.

Two alternatives will be available depending on the Wuling Cloud battery options. The top Windsor model may come with a 50 kWh battery that can go up to 460 km, while the base model may come with a 37 kWh battery that can travel 360 km.

The Windsor might compete with the Tata Nexon, but the MG EV is larger in terms of size. Based on dimensions of 2700 mm for the wheelbase, 4295 mm for length, 1850 mm for width, and 1652 mm for height.
