Tarun Garg, CEO of Hyundai Motor India, announced during a recent virtual media sales conference that the business will introduce its first high-volume EV in India in January 2025. The totally electric Creta will most likely come off the same production line as the ICE-powered Creta at Hyundai’s Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, production facility. Both vehicles are based on the same platform. Hyundai is using an already-existing platform, the Creta EV ought to be extremely affordable.
Hyundai Creta EV: Anticipated features
According to earlier reports, the 45kWh lithium-ion battery pack that the Creta EV is expected to employ is marginally smaller than the ones that its main competitors use. The MG ZS EV, for example, has a 50.3kWh battery. However, two battery options are anticipated for the Maruti Suzuki eVX: a top-spec 60kWh battery and an entry-level 48kWh battery.
