Design of the Tata Punch EV
The Punch EV’s design language differs noticeably from that of its ICE (internal combustion engine) counterpart, the Tata Punch. The Punch EV’s design features, including the aerodynamic alloy wheels, vertical LED projector headlights, and bonnet-spanning LED DRLs, are derived from the Nexon EV.
Rear profile similarities include the same tail lights, skid plate, and chunky bumper as the gasoline-powered Punch. The EV’s interior is designed similarly to that of the Nexon EV. The cockpit houses Tata’s redesigned steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a touch-based climate control panel, and a dual-tone theme.
Features of the Tata Punch EV
The Punch EV will have two 10.25-inch displays (a digital driver’s display and a touchscreen infotainment system), touch-based automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera, according to teasers and dealership photos. Additionally, Tata’s Arcade.ev, which lets users see movies and TV episodes on the infotainment screen, will be available.
Six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchors are among the safety features.
The powertrain of the Tata Punch EV
Two different battery pack sizes will be available for the Punch EV, however the precise details are still being worked out. It will have a stated range of more than 500 kilometers and be built on Tata’s new Acti.ev platform. It will also offer several charging options, including DC rapid charging.
Rivals and price details of the Tata Punch EV
The Tata Punch EV will go up against the Citroen eC3 and is anticipated to start at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). It will also be a more expensive option than the MG Comet EV and Tata Tiago EV.
