Right now, Kia and Hyundai are poised to take significant market share in the worldwide EV market. The recently spotted Hyundai Ioniq 7 test mules will be based on the E-GMP platform, which the sister brands of South Korea have jointly developed. The recently unveiled Kia EV9 flagship is expected to have a comparable powertrain to the Hyundai Ioniq 7, which was sighted.

Hyundai Ioniq 7 noticed testing

Hyundai Ioniq 7 test mules were recently spotted conducting testing in Germany. Hyundai’s answer to Kia’s EV9 flagship electric SUV, the Ioniq 7, is the production model based on the Hyundai SEVEN electric SUV concept that was unveiled a few years prior.

Production-specific The Ioniq 7 is very different from Concept, Hyundai’s demonstration model. The absence of suicide doors—rear-hinged doors—for the second row doesn’t worry us. Undoubtedly, that is a glaring omission from the Hyundai SEVEN concept. However, we’re a little taken aback by Hyundai’s entire design philosophy.

As demonstrated by the SEVEN concept, Hyundai promised a large, boxy SUV. Hyundai is sending off MPV vibes with the production-spec Ioniq 7, which seems to be in line with the Hyundai Ioniq 6 sedan (saloon). reminds us of the Stargazer and Staria MPVs made by Hyundai. The A-pillar is fairly sloped, and the bonnet is brief. This design has an impression of swooping.

The overall design is swoopy and curvy, something that SEVEN Idea lacked. It’s not just the MPV vibes. Even the Kia EV9 has the bulky dimensions and stance of an SUV. Two distinct sets of alloy wheels were being tested by the test mule that was spotted in Germany. Ioniq 7 is expected to come with both of these wheels, depending on the various variations.

The headlamps on the front fascia are stacked vertically and will be adorned with LEDs styled like pixels. Together with the back LED signature, these Pixel LEDs will also make up its LED DRL. The hefty side body claddings are reminiscent of the recently released Hyundai Kona. The rear was completely hidden, so not much can be inferred.

Is it similar to the Kia EV9’s powertrain?

It is unlikely that the Hyundai Ioniq 7 will have as flashy an interior as the SEVEN concept. The likelihood of Ioniq 7 packing identical qualities from Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 is significantly higher. It’s likely that the dashboard will have two 12.3-inch panels in addition to a few random buttons.

The four dots that this firm has been using on its previous cars will take the place of the Hyundai badge. Some of the standout features include third-row seating, recycled materials inside, level-three automated driving assistance, and Hyundai’s newest operating system, which drives the Kona EV. With announcements of the next-generation eM and eS platforms, the Ioniq 7 may be the final worldwide electric car equipped with E-GMP.
