New spy photos of the upcoming Tata Punch EV have surfaced online ahead of its anticipated launch in the near future. The model is anticipated to receive a revamped grille in addition to a new electric powertrain compared to the present ICE-powered Punch. Tata Motors has not yet formally announced the Punch EV’s debut date.
The Tata Punch EV test mule has a sizable freestanding display on the center console, as seen in the photograph here. This device will probably have a 10.25-inch screen, which debuted earlier this year on the Nexon EV line. Other interior improvements include an electric parking brake, a redesigned rotary dial that serves as the gear selector, and an armrest for passengers in the front row. The brand-new two-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Tata emblem might also be offered.
Our view on the new Tata Punch EV
We anticipate that the new Punch EV will have an updated front end with new headlights, DRLs, a grille, and a bumper. Similar to the ICE variant, the test mule also had a charging port in the front that could be tucked away within the gasoline filler cap.
The Tata Punch EV’s battery pack parameters have not been made public by Tata Motors. It might debut with two configurations—Medium Range and Long Range—that could be adapted from its sibling, the Tiago EV.
