The only Indian manufacturer with three all-electric cars now available for purchase on the Indian market is Tata Motors. Nexon EV, Tigor EV, and the recently released Tiago EV are among the brand’s electric cars models. The automaker sold 5,318 of its EVs last month. The waiting period for Tata’s EV range is therefore given below. The Nexon EV, the company’s first product to hit the market, now has a three-week waiting time for both the EV Prime and EV Max electric cars. The sedan, the Tigor EV as well, then, has a comparable waiting period that lasts about two to three weeks.
Tata Nexon EV
There are two Nexon EV models available: Prime and Max. The Nexon EV Max requires a four-week waiting period, compared to a three to four-week waiting period for the Nexon EV Prime. A single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control, automatic headlights, a seven-inch TFT semi-digital instrument cluster, and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with linked car technologies are all features of the electric SUV. Additional options include cruise control, multi-level regenerative braking, and smartwatch connectivity. A 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a range of up to 312 km on a single charge powers the electric drivetrain. The Nexon EV also has quick-charging capabilities, with a DC fast charger allowing for an 0-80% charge in just 60 minutes.
Tata Tigor EV
Here’s some good news for anyone planning to buy a Tata Tigor EV. According to a CarWale article, the electric cars wait time is currently up to 4 weeks. The four available varieties of the Tata Tigor EV are the XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux.
It includes a 26kWh battery pack connected to a 75PS, 170Nm electric motor. The new ARAI claimed range for the electric car is 315km. The Tigor EV can be charged from empty to 80% using a conventional wall charger in 8.5 hours and a 25kW DC fast charger in 60 minutes.
Tata Tiago EV
Currently, the Tata Tiago EV has a waiting period of roughly three months. Bookings for this electric hatchback began on October 10th, and delivery will begin in January 2023 only. So, if you make a reservation today, plan to wait two to three months. After returning home, the total efficiency stabilized at 105 Wh/km, and the range indicated was 97km with 44% battery remaining. In conclusion, I believe the car is capable of an efficiency of about 110-120 Wh/km, which translates to a practical range of about 210 km.
It will have new alloy wheels, side body panels that have been covered, ORVMs, and door handles that are body color. At the back, there would be new taillamps, an integrated spoiler with a high-mount stop lamp, and bumper reflectors. The interior of the Tata Tiago Electric car will have a two-tone colour scheme and new fabric for the seat upholstery. The interiors feature a height-adjustable driver seat, movable headrests for every passenger, and a foldable backrest for the backseat in the back. There will be steering-mounted audio controls, air conditioning, and an infotainment system with AM/FM, USB, AUX-IN, and iPod connectivity. Top models come equipped with driver and passenger airbags.
