The Hero MotoCorp Vida V1 and Vida V1 Pro electric scooters are now more affordable, with prices starting at Rs. 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). In October 2022, Hero MotoCorp will launch Vida, a new electric two-wheeler subsidiary. Vida V1 and Vida V1 Pro, two new electric scooters, were introduced. The V1 was priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom) at the time, while the V1 Pro was priced at Rs. 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom).
In 2023, the Indian two-wheeler company cut the price of its Vida V1 line, which is a highly noteworthy development. The price of the Vida V1 has been reduced by Rs. 25,000, and the price of the Vida V1 Pro has been reduced by Rs. 19,000. The Vida V1 line is now significantly cheaper than it was at the time of its launch, thanks to this huge price decrease.
The Hero Vida V1 is now priced at Rs. 1.20 lakh, while the Vida V1 Pro is priced at Rs. 1.40 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).
Furthermore, some governments, such as Gujarat, offer additional discounts on electric vehicles, and the prices will be further reduced based on the subsidy. The price of the Vida V1’s competitor, the Ather 450X, was similarly slashed last month. Similarly, the Ola S1 range begins at a competitive sticker price of Rs. 85,000 (ex-showroom). With the price cut, the Vida V1 and V1 Pro are back in the game, and we can expect the sales chart to improve significantly.
In terms of technology, the Vida V1 is powered by a 3.44 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 143 kilometres on a single charge. The more expensive Vida V1 Pro comes with a 3.94 kWh battery pack that provides a range of 165 miles on a single charge. Despite the variation in battery capacity, both electric scooters share the same 6kW motor. In addition, the company highlighted its expansion goals, which include expanding to 100 cities this year.
