Citroen India debuted the C3 in the affordable category earlier this year. The French automaker also confirmed the hatchback’s electric variant, dubbed ‘eC3’, a few days ago. The eC3 has been spotted in its production-ready form ahead of its official debut, which is slated to take place later this month.
The spotted Citroen eC3 was painted in an orange hue and, based on prior sightings, could have the charging station on the front fender.
The eC3 has the same exterior design and appearance as the ICE C3, with split headlamps, steel wheels with covers, square tail lamps, roof rails, and a dual-tone paint scheme. The interior of the eC3 is currently lacking in detail. However, we anticipate that it will include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a height-adjustable driver seat, and power windows.
While the technical specs of the Citroen eC3 are unknown, we expect it to be powered by a 20-30kWh battery pack with a range of 200-250km on a single charge. The Citroen eC3 will compete with the Tata Tiago EV when it is released.
