Early in the upcoming year, Hyundai, the Korean carmaker, will introduce the eagerly anticipated Creta EV facelift to the Indian market. The Creta SUV’s electric variant, which will compete with the Maruti Suzuki eVX, is also being prepared by the company. It is anticipated that the Hyundai Creta EV will be unveiled in late 2024 and go on sale in 2025.
On Indian roads, the Hyundai Creta EV has been seen a few times. This time, South Korea is where the electric SUV was spotted doing tests. The new EV’s design, which looks distinct from the impending Creta makeover, is revealed in the most recent spy photos.
Features of the Hyundai Creta EV
The present Creta SUV and the Creta EV that was spotted in South Korea seem very different from one another. The SUV features new design components on a redesigned front fascia. The fictitious exhaust exit is also apparent. The split headlight design and new parametric jewel front grille, which we have already seen on the Exter and Venue, are part of the Creta facelift. The LED daytime running lamps on the electric car have a C shape and seem larger than those on the Creta.
The electric SUV will get updated headlamps and a closed-off front grille. The side profile will resemble the refreshed Creta facelift exactly, but the alloy wheels may be redesigned. The Hyundai Creta EV’s rear bumper and wraparound taillights are probably going to get minor updates.
Although the Hyundai Creta EV and the next Creta facelift are anticipated to share a cabin, the Korean automaker will introduce a few EV-specific features. An instrument console with complete digital display will be available for the electric SUV. The gear lever, which we have already seen on the Ioniq 5 EV, is located on the middle console, according to earlier spy photos.
