According to a top executive’s statement on Friday, Toyota plans to introduce 10 new battery electric vehicle models by the year 2026. The Japanese automaker is making this move in an effort to catch up to and compete with other significant participants in the electric vehicle market. Hiroki Nakajima, Toyota’s chief technology officer, revealed that the company intends to introduce 10 new battery electric car models by 2026 at a briefing on the strategy under new CEO Koji Sato.
Recall that the Toyota Fortuner is a popular huge SUV in India with a sizable fan base among SUV fans. The 2023 Fortuner Modellista and the 2023 GR Sport are two new Fortuner variants that Toyota debuted at the Bangkok Motor Show in 2023. The Fortuner faithful are likely to be quite interested in these new options, which will also raise the bar for large SUVs overall.

While the 2.4L diesel engine in the 2023 Fortuner gives a mileage of 13.9 km/l, the 2.8L diesel engine boasts a stated mileage of 14.7 km/l.
