Ultraviolette, the Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle manufacturer known for its premium, high-performance bikes, is gearing up for a transformative 2025. With plans to expand its presence to 30 cities in India, scale up sales to 1,000 units per month, and enter international markets like Europe, Ultraviolette is setting the stage for significant growth in the electric two-wheeler segment.

1. Scaling Up Sales and Network Expansion

Ultraviolette is targeting a monthly sales milestone of 1,000 electric bikes by the second half of 2025. This marks a significant leap from its current sales figures, driven by the growing popularity of its flagship model, the F77 Mach 2.

  • Current Network: Ultraviolette operates in 12 cities across India.
  • Expansion Plans: The company plans to more than double its reach, expanding to 30 cities by the end of 2025. This includes strengthening its sales, service, and spare parts network to ensure a seamless customer experience.

“In India, 2025 is going to be a year of massive scale-up from a commercial availability point of view,” said Niraj Rajmohan, co-founder and CTO of Ultraviolette.


2. International Expansion: Europe on the Horizon

Ultraviolette is also setting its sights on international markets, with plans to enter Europe in 2025. The company intends to adopt a phased approach, starting with a pilot launch, similar to its strategy in India during 2023-2024.

This move aligns with Ultraviolette’s vision of becoming a global player in the premium electric motorcycle segment, competing with established international brands.


3. Diversifying the Product Lineup

Ultraviolette is not stopping at the F77. The company plans to introduce four to five new product lines in the next two to three years, all within the motorcycle space.

  • Focus on Premium Segment: Unlike many competitors focusing on mass-market electric scooters, Ultraviolette is committed to staying in the premium motorcycle segment.
  • Wider Price Range: The upcoming models will cater to a broader price range, making Ultraviolette’s offerings accessible to a wider audience while maintaining their premium appeal.

“We will definitely, in the next two to three years, be present across four or five different product lines in the motorcycle space. The price band will also widen more,” said Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and co-founder of Ultraviolette.


4. Record-Breaking Performance: F99 Electric Bike

Earlier this month, Ultraviolette made headlines when its F99 electric bike was crowned the fastest Indian-manufactured motorcycle, setting a FMSCI-certified quarter-mile record of 10.712 seconds.

The F99, which is expected to launch in 2025, is designed to push the boundaries of performance in the electric motorcycle segment. It will join the F77 in Ultraviolette’s lineup, further solidifying the brand’s reputation for innovation and speed.

The F77 Mach 2, Ultraviolette’s flagship electric bike, has already gained a loyal following among superbike enthusiasts.

Ultraviolette is also considering going public, with a potential IPO timeline of 18 months. However, the company is focused on scaling its operations and achieving sustainable profitability before taking this step.

“We have some rough timelines, I would say 18 months at the very minimum,” said Rajmohan, emphasizing the importance of operational scalability and long-term profitability.

Ultraviolette has established itself as a pioneer in the premium electric motorcycle segment, standing out in a market dominated by mass-market electric scooters.
