The Inster EV, Hyundai’s smallest electric vehicle, has been given a preview before making its public premiere at the Busan International Mobility Show in South Korea later in June. The Inster is essentially the manufacturer’s mini SUV for foreign markets, the Casper, but with an all-electric drivetrain.
Hyundai Inster’s Features and Design
The Inster and Casper appear to be very similar from the leaked photos, with a few subtle design differences. The new LED DRL light signature, which resembles pixels, and the four-spoke alloys are the most noticeable changes. Given that it’s an EV, we believe the grille will also probably be blanked out to give it a more streamlined, minimalist appearance. It is also noticeable because the nose is where the charging flap is situated.
Although interior photos of the Inster are not yet available, we believe they will resemble those of the ICE. The front and back flat folding seats in the Casper’s cabin add to its already incredibly useful design. To increase the Inster’s appeal, we hope this touch is likewise provided there.
A floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, cruise control, automatic climate control, drive modes, and keyless entry with push button start are just a few of the features that come standard with the Inster. Although Hyundai has not yet disclosed the technical details, the Inster is expected to have a WLTP-claimed range of 355 kilometres. The debut of the Hyundai Inster in the Indian market is still pending. However, if it is introduced here, it will be a fantastic substitute for vehicles such as the Citroen eC3, MG Comet EV, and Tata Tiago EV.
