MG Motor India and Vortelo Partnership
According to a statement from MG Motor India, the alliance would prioritise offering passengers sustainable mobility options and will also seek to build a strong EV charging infrastructure throughout the nation. “MG India and Vertelo’s collaboration shows a common goal for India’s decarbonisation and a green, sustainable future. In addition, we think that this partnership will strengthen our efforts to provide cutting-edge e-mobility options for travellers and accelerate the nation’s transition to electric vehicles,” stated Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer of MG Motor India.
Vertelo is a fleet electrification platform that seeks to offer corporates and operators end-to-end solutions. Macquarie Asset Management founded it, and the Green Climate Fund, which has pledged to invest up to USD 200 million, provided anchor funding. This partnership with MG Motor India to purchase around 3,000 electric cars, marks the beginning of an exciting journey for both organisations with a common goal of accelerating fleet electrification and achieving Net-zero emissions.
The transition to a more sustainable transportation environment will be accelerated by the variety of electric vehicles that MG Motor intends to introduce in India over the next years as well as Vertelo’s integrated electrification solutions for fleet operators and corporates.
