Tata Harrier EV and Petrol will debut in 2025

Tata Motors has formally declared that it will launch the Tata Harrier EV in H2 of CY 2025 in both gasoline and electric variants. The 1.5-litre GDi turbocharged petrol engine that Tata debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo is anticipated to be used in the petrol-powered Harrier.

This engine has 168 horsepower and 280 Nm. It is anticipated to come with a six-speed AT and a six-speed manual transmission. It is compliant with E20 fuel. Its rivals in the petrol version will include the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Skoda Kushaq.

The Tata Harrier EV, which is anticipated to debut simultaneously, has now been confirmed for production, which is the other major piece of news. Aside from what we saw on the concept car, no more information has been released.

Tata sees itself as having a multi-powertrain plan for the future, including EV, biofuel, hybrid, and, of course, diesel, which has been the company’s mainstay for the past thirty years and powers vehicles like the Gen-1 Safari, Sumo, and Sierra.
