Ather’s latest e-scooter made its formal appearance after being sighted testing on Indian roads multiple times in the last few months. On March 29, digital reservations for the Ather Rizta went live for a meagre Rs 999. The Rizta is being offered by the Bengaluru-based firm for Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). However, this is a special offer available only to clients who have reserved a Rizta in advance.

The Rizta is available in two trim levels from Ather: the Rizta S and the Rizta Z. The latter is available in versions that cost Rs 1.24 lakh and Rs 1.44 lakh (both ex-showroom).

Specifications of Ather Rizta

The Ather Rizta Z has a 2.9 kWh battery and a larger 3.7 kWh unit option, while the Rizta S only has a 2.9 kWh battery. An estimated 123 km will be covered by the 2.9 kWh option and 160 km by the 3.7 kWh variant in terms of IDC range. The Rizta Z will be offered in seven colors, comprising three monotone and four dual tone colors, in contrast to Ather’s three monotone colors for the Rizta S.

All versions of the Rizta can reach a top speed of 80 kmph, even though Ather has not yet disclosed the precise specifications of the motor. There are two available ride modes: SmartEco and Zip. In addition, the Rizta has riding assistance features like MagicTwistTM, AutoHoldTM, and Reverse Mode that were included in the 450 series.

The 700W new Ather Duo charger is included with the top-spec Rizta Z with 3.7 kWh battery. Owners of Rizta vehicles will also have access to Ather’s extensive fast-charging network, which boasts more than 1800 charging stations. With Ather’s five-year extra warranty program, “Ather Battery Protect,” which increases the battery guarantee to five years or 60,000 kilometers, all three models are covered.

Features of Ather Rizta

The largest selling point of the Ather Rizta is its room, which includes storage and onboard capacity. It has a 34-litre underseat storage and a 22-liter trunk, for a total of 56 liters of combined luggage capacity. For even more ease, the complete underseat storage can be lifted as a single bag. As Ather has previously hinted, the Rizta has the largest single-piece seat available in India for a two-wheeler, providing more than enough space for both the rider and the pillion.

Similar to the 450 series, the Ather Rizta is equipped as standard throughout the range with amenities including an 18W multifunctional charger, LED headlights and taillights, a 7-inch fully digital TFT instrument panel, reverse mode, Bluetooth connectivity, and a backrest. WhatsApp on dash, call rejection with message, live location sharing, ping my scooter, and Amazon Alexa integration with 20 voice commands are some of the other novelties.

Pro Upgrade offers ride assistance functions, Ather Battery protection, and smartphone integration via Ather Connect. With the scooter, Ather is selling two new helmets named Halo and Halo Bit. These are open-face and full-face helmets, with starting prices of Rs 12,999 and Rs 4,999, respectively.

Additionally, Ather offers its in-house developed traction control technology, known as SkidControl, which smoothly regulates motor torque to lessen the likelihood of losing grip when speeding on low-friction surfaces like gravel, sand, water, or oil-covered road segments.
