Kinetic E-Luna Electric Moped Unveiled In India At Rs 70,000

The Kinetic Luna, India’s original desi moped, has returned today in an electric form. The electric scooter, known as the Kinetic E-Luna, has been introduced with a sticker price of Rs 69,990 for the base model X1 and Rs 74,990 for the higher-spec X2 variant. All prices are ex-showroom and include the FAME-II subsidy. The E-Luna is available from Kinetic in the following five color options: Pearl Yellow, Ocean Blue, Sparkling Green, Mulberry Red, and Night Star Black. Only a portion of the frame is completed in the aforementioned colors, whilst the body panels are fully finished in black.

The Kinetic E-Luna maintains the same theme as the original Luna, which has a very simple and unassuming design, but it has a fresh look. It has a side stand indicator, a removable rear seat for mounting items or luggage, a circular headlamp, basic digital instruments, and a UBD charging outlet for keeping gadgets charged while driving.

Features of the Kinetic E-Luna

A 2 kWh battery pack powers the hub-mounted 1.2kW motor that powers the E-Luna. The powertrain is rated to produce up to 22 Nm of peak torque. The E-Luna requires around four hours to fully charge from zero when it is equipped with a portable charger. The sturdy steel chassis of the E-Luna serves as its foundation, and it is supported by twin shock absorbers at the back and a telescopic fork arrangement upfront. The moped has drum brakes at both ends for varying shedding speeds, and it is equipped with 16-inch wire-spoke wheels.

The manufacturer rates the Kinetic E-Luna‘s performance as having a 110 km range, a top speed of 50 kmph, the ability to climb a 7-degree incline, and the capacity to carry a weight of up to 150 kg. Tipping the scales at 96 kg is the E-Luna. The TVS XL100, the best-selling moped in India right now, is substantially less expensive than the Kinetic E-Luna at this price range. Paying a booking fee of Rs 500, one can reserve a Kinetic E-Luna on the official website of the brand.
