The new S1X (4kWh) e-scooter, according to the business, is constructed on the cutting-edge Gen-2 platform and can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, with a maximum speed of 90 km/h. A range of colours, including Red Velocity, Midnight, Vogue, Stellar, Funk, Porcelain White, and Liquid Silver, are available for the scooter. The first deliveries are scheduled for April 2024.
Furthermore, Ola Electric has extended the battery guarantee on all of its products by eight years, or up to 80,000 kilometres, in response to consumer worries regarding battery health, which is frequently cited as a major obstacle to the adoption of EVs. For a starting price of ₹4,999, the EV manufacturer is also giving an add-on warranty that raises the maximum number of kilometres driven to 125,000 km.
“With an extended range of 190 km at a highly accessible price point, the all-new S1X 4kWh is an extremely compelling value proposition,” stated Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder, Chairman, and MD of Ola Electric Mobility Limited in a corporate statement. Our free eight-year extended battery warranty, along with the growth of our service and charging network throughout India, will raise the bar for the EV sector and improve every customer’s ownership experience.
The company stated that it intends to grow its service network by 50% by April 2024, from the present 414 service centres to over 600 centres nationwide, as part of its service expansion plan. In addition, it has launched a portable 3KW fast charger attachment that can be bought for ₹29,999 and intends to expand its fast-charging network to 10,000 locations by the end of the next quarter.
Ola Electric provides a variety of e-scooters, including the S1X+, S1X (3kWh), and S1X (2kWh), in addition to the S1X (4kWh). These versions cost ₹79,999, ₹89,999, and ₹99,999, in that order. The S1 Pro (2nd Generation), the company’s flagship scooter, costs ₹1,47,499, while the S1 Air is offered for ₹1,19,999.
