The redesigned XUV300, which has been in testing for some time, is anticipated to be Mahindra’s first vehicle to be released in 2024. Recently, spy photos of the new subcompact SUV have been making the rounds on the internet. The XUV300 will receive its first significant update since inception is anticipated that the new XUV300 will get some significant feature additions in addition to noticeable design changes.

Mechanically speaking, though, it is probably going to be the same as the outgoing model with the same engine options a 1.5-liter diesel engine, a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, and a 1.2-liter mStallion turbo petrol engine. A new 6-speed automatic (torque converter) using Aisin-sourced components is reportedly planned to replace the AMT unit, which was initially introduced in 2018.

Along with some new features and modest design changes, its all-electric variant, the XUV300, will also see some upgrades. The same 34.5kW or 39.4kW electric powertrain options will still be available; the former has a claimed single-charge range of 375 km, while the latter has a range of 476 km. Recent sources have confirmed that Mahindra is planning to introduce a second electric SUV that would sit underneath the XUV400. It will be fascinating to see how Mahindra differentiates these two battery-powered SUVs from the competition in terms of features and price. The new XUV300 EV will be more reasonably priced than the XUV400 despite having the same exterior features. Its specs and features have been drastically reduced.

Mahindra may make the XUV.e8 official debut by the end of 2024. Delivery of the XUV.e8, an all-electric version of the XUV700, and a price announcement are anticipated to start in early 2025. It will be Mahindra’s first next-generation vehicle, powered by the INGLO skateboard platform.
