Tata Punch EV Has Arrived Priced Between Rs. 10.99 and Rs. 14.49 Lakh

The Tata Punch EV, which ranges in price from Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 14.49 lakh was recently introduced by the company. Earlier last month, the automaker began accepting reservations for a meager Rs 21,000 deposit. There are two battery types and five versions available for the EV. For an extra Rs 50,000, long-range models can have a 7.2kW AC fast charger, while the Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+ versions of both models can have a sunroof for an additional Rs 50,000.

Tata Punch EV’s design and system

The Tata Punch EV is the first Tata electric vehicle with a frunk, or front trunk, and shares visual similarities with its brother, the Nexon EV. It also receives a new alloy wheel design, a split headlamp arrangement, and an LED light bar.

Acti.EV, which means “active,” is the brand’s first car to be constructed on its new Gen 2 architecture. This platform will also serve as the foundation for a number of other Tata EVs and SUVs, such as the upcoming Curvv EV, the new Sierra EV, and the Harrier EV.

Range, powertrain, battery, and charge of the Tata Punch EV 

Two battery options are available for the Tata Punch EV: a 25kWh battery with an approximate MIDC range of 315 km and a 35kWh battery with an approximate MIDC range of 421 km. A 7.2kW fast charger and a 3.3kW wall box charger are available for charging. Additionally, the Punch EV is capable of DC fast charging, which uses a 50kW fast charger to charge it from 10% to 80% in 56 minutes.

While the normal variations get an 82hp, 114Nm motor, the Long Range variants produce 122hp and 190Nm, which are routed to the front wheels. Tata Motors claims that the basic versions take 13.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h, but the long-range variations can reach 100 km/h in less than 9.5 seconds. The EV features 190mm of ground clearance and a 350mm water-wading capacity.

The safety features and interior of the Tata Punch EV

With dual 10.25-inch infotainment and digital instrument displays, a redesigned dashboard design, and paddle shifters for controlling the regenerative settings on the steering wheel, the Tata Punch EV‘s interior is noticeably more upscale than that of its ICE cousin. The infotainment system on the less expensive EV models is smaller, measuring 7 inches.

A wide range of features, such as a sunroof, wireless phone charging, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, ventilated front seats, and interior air purification, are included in the extensive equipment list. Rivals of Tata Punch EV

The Citroen eC3 (Rs 11.5 lakh-12.68 lakh), MG Comet (Rs 7.98 lakh-9.98 lakh), and Tata’s own Tiago EV (Rs 8.69 lakh-12.04 lakh) are the competitors of the Tata Punch EV.
