Rolls-Royce Spectre EV will arrive in India on January 19

The debut of Rolls-Royce’s first electric vehicle, the Spectre EV, is expected to electrify the Indian automotive landscape. Rolls-Royce is the epitome of luxury and automotive expertise. The unveiling is slated for January 19, 2024, and follows the successful delivery of the first Spectre unit to Chennai in November 2023. The starting price of the Spectre, which is positioned between the Phantom and the Ghost, is anticipated to be between ₹7-9 crore, ex-showroom.

Features of Rolls-Royce Spectre EV

In contrast to its traditional rivals, the Rolls-Royce Spectre EV sports a cutting-edge electric drivetrain in place of the renowned 6 ¾ V12 engine. The powerful 430 kW motor of the four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle produces an amazing 900 Nm of torque. With its 102 kWh battery pack, the Spectre has an impressive range of 323 miles (520 km) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre EV, which has a length of 5,453 mm and a weight of 2,975 kg, is a vehicle that demonstrates the company’s improved “Planar suspension” system. Renowned for its “magic carpet ride,” the system adapts to the driving style and road conditions to provide a controlled and seamless driving experience.

Design of Rolls-Royce Spectre EV

The Spectre’s design is evidence of Rolls-Royce’s dedication to creativity. The front sports the biggest Rolls-Royce grille ever, lit up by 22 LEDs, and an aerodynamically redesigned “Spirit of Ecstasy” emblem. The car’s unique features include its massive single-body panel, jewel-like vertical tail lamps, and fastback appearance.

No less than a Rolls-Royce, the Spectre’s interior is replete with customizable display options. The front seat design, which was influenced by British tailoring, had lapel sections with complementing or contrasting colors. The opulent experience is further enhanced by the 4,796 lighted “stars” on the Starlight Doors and the Canadel Paneling backdrop for the coach doors. Real-time information and remote involvement are provided via the integrated Whispers application in the state-of-the-art SPIRIT system.

The Spectre, in the eyes of Rolls-Royce, is a strong declaration of purpose for the brand’s electric future rather than just a vehicle. By the end of 2030, the corporation wants all of its product offerings to be electrified. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös said, “Spectre EV has all the attributes that have secured the Rolls-Royce legend.”

Rolls-Royce’s dedication to an all-electric future is more than just a significant step toward sustainability in the automobile industry; it’s a declaration of timeless luxury in the era of electrification.
