Tiago EV: Man From West Bengal Slams Tata For Providing “Defective” model

A man who is said to be from West Bengal recently took to social media to express his displeasure with Tata after purchasing a brand-new Tata Tiago EV XZ Plus Tech LUX for Rs. 12 lakhs that had manufacturing defects. On the microblogging platform “X,” Chitrabhanu Pathak shared pictures and videos of how attempts to resolve problems at the repair centre ended up with spot welding that didn’t work.

What did the post regarding Tata Tiago say?

Pathak added, “A gift from Tata Motors,” in his post. Tata Motors’ Tiago EV XZPLUS TECHLUX, is ill-prepared. I paid twelve lac rupees for this fancy car, but what I received was a defective one with many manufacturing flaws. The car’s cranking noise was eliminated by spot welding the service centre. However, it’s all in vain.

With more than 104K views to date, the post included pictures of the Tiago’s door, the interior, and other locations that showed dents that were all reported to the repair department. Videos that went along with it gave a thorough examination, with Pathak emphasising odd noises that kept happening while driving.

In addition, Pathak stated that his automobile hadn’t improved in the eight months after it was purchased: “I wrote to Tata to replace with a new car or refund me or give me appropriate compensation.” I have not yet heard back regarding this.

People left comments on the page, one of them doubting Tata’s quality control: “I thought Tata’s had taken care of such quality issues.” It seems like I’m mistaken once more. These days, everything is so surface-level! Another remarked on the standing of Tata Motors, saying, “@TataMotors once spoilt their reputation due to their degraded service many years ago.” It was difficult for them to evaluate themselves in the marketplace. It appears that they haven’t given up on their previous behaviours after resurfacing. It could require another setback for them to realise this.
