According to our sources, a launch and a complete national debut for the Tata Punch EV (stylized as Punch.ev) are scheduled for the final week of January 2024. According to information obtained by TOI Auto, Tata Motors’ EV-focused company, Tata.ev is getting ready to introduce its next product to the Indian market shortly. Our sources state that the last week of January 2024 will see the country’s full presentation of the Tata Punch EV (stylized as Punch.ev), which will be followed by a launch.
Note that Tata Motors has not yet formally confirmed any information regarding the Tata PunchEV’s official debut date. Nevertheless, the Punch EV will face off against the Citroen eC3 directly in the marketplace and may potentially be the most reasonably priced completely electric SUV in the nation.
Tata Punch EV Vs Citroen eC3
As a point of reference, the Citroen eC3‘s pricing ranges from Rs 11.61 lakh to Rs 12.79 lakh (both ex-showroom). Although the Tata Punch EV’s specifications are currently unknown, we anticipate that it will have a slightly larger battery pack than the 24kWh unit seen in the Tiago EV and Tigor EV. The all-electric SUV with fast charging capabilities is predicted to have an ARAI-certified range of approximately 350 km.
Given the higher price tag, the Tata Punch EV is anticipated to come with a few extra features over the ICE Punch, such as LED headlights, all-wheel disc brakes, a larger touchscreen infotainment system with the Arcade.ev app suite, and a new two-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Tata Motors logo, similar to the one seen on the new Nexon and Nexon EV.
