Tata Punch EV was spy-tested once more: When will it launch?

In Maharashtra, the Tata Punch EV was observed to be parked during its test drive. The all-electric vehicle that will soon make its debut in India has been making headlines for a while. This time, compared to the ordinary ICE variant, the fresh spy photos show more important details and external modifications for the Punch EV.

The test mule, while being dressed in standard camouflage, is visible in the picture, indicating that the charging port is located on the front bumper. The full-width LED light bar/DRL that spans the bonnet is also visible.

Redesigned alloy wheels, roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, a rear wiper, a high-mounted stop lamp, rear disc brakes, and a camera beneath the ORVM that suggests a 360-degree surround camera arrangement are some other notable features. The dashboard layout of the all-electric Punch was partially visible in earlier spy photos. Along with other upgrades, a larger and new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is anticipated.

What does the future look like for the Tata Punch EV?

With the formal debut of the Tata Punch EV rapidly approaching, India’s automotive industry is expecting a revolution in the electric vehicle market. Regarding the features and powertrain, the brand has not disclosed any details on the battery pack. But, we anticipate that it will have a battery pack that is comparable to that of its sibling electric car, the Tigor EV, albeit with modified power output and a longer driving range. The Punch EV will go up against the Citroen eC3 in India’s electric small SUV market upon its launch.

The decision-making process of buyers who are eagerly anticipating the Tata Punch EV will probably be influenced by multiple aspects. Those acquainted with Tata Motors’ electric products could feel more confident given the rumoured resemblance to the Tigor EV. Tata Motors has been gradually growing its network of electric vehicle charging stations in an effort to give Punch EV customers easy access to charging stations.
