BMW CE 02 manufacturing begins at TVS Hosur

The decade-long collaboration between TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad has ended on a high note. This collaboration has been strengthened by TVS’s announcement that the BMW CE 02 electric scooter will be manufactured at the company’s Hosur facility. The two businesses deepened their collaboration in December 2021, opening the door to the combined creation of future platforms and technologies including electric automobiles.

BMW CE 02 electric scooter features

BMW’s CE 02 electric scooter is built for the hustle and bustle of city streets. It’s sturdy and fun to ride, no matter the terrain, thanks to its big wheels and simple design. To accommodate a wide range of riders and local regulations, the BMW CE 02 will come in two distinct performance configurations.

The high-speed version can reach speeds of up to 95 kmph and is restricted to users aged 16 and over, while the low-speed version can reach speeds of up to 45 kmph and is accessible to riders as young as 15. Only time will tell if there are any chances of introducing the BMW CE 02 electric scooter to the Indian market after its initial design and development for the foreign market.

Over the past decade of collaboration between the two firms, several firsts and industry benchmarks have been reached, and thousands of high-caliber motorcycles have been shipped around the globe.

Improvements in engine technology, chassis design, and safety measures have resulted from the sharing of knowledge between the two firms thanks to this partnership.

“Our decade-long partnership with BMW Motorrad is based on shared values of innovation, quality, customer delight, and engineering prowess,” stated TVS Motor Company director and CEO KN Radhakrishnan. Our innovative technologies and environmentally friendly mobility solutions are a perfect fit for our relationship and support our worldwide strategy for growth driven by electric vehicles. Now that we’ve reached the next level of our relationship, we can work together to build standardized infrastructure.
