What has changed about the Nexon.ev?
The Nexon EV will first be given the name “Nexon.ev” as part of the automaker’s new branding for its electric vehicles. It will have a modern style that resembles that of the ICE-powered model. However, the EV-specific components will be more in-depth in order to stand out more.
The split arrangement of the standard Nexon will be replaced with a fully connected LED DRL strip on the front profile. Incorporating design cues from the Tata Curvv, the aesthetic updates should also include the split headlight arrangement, a new closed-off grille, and a chunkier bumper. In the teaser, networked LED DRLs are seen operating as welcome lights, just like in high-end automobiles. With alternative alloy wheels, the rear profile should appear the same as the Nexon’s.
The Nexon.ev will undergo a complete inside overhaul, just like its ICE counterpart. A new interior theme, shorter air vents, a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata emblem, and updated upholstery are some of the expected cosmetic upgrades.
Coming Soon: New Features
The 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, touch-enabled climate control panel, height-adjustable co-driver seat, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system are the most likely additions to the updated electric Nexon. The Nexon EV Max Dark Edition already comes with the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and other models will get it as well with the makeover.
More Safety
Six airbags, a 360-degree camera, blind-view monitoring, and front parking sensors might all be standard safety features. Every improvement is included in the Nexon.ev as well.
Improved drivetrains
Prime and Max are the two basic variants of the Nexon EV that are available. The first has a smaller 30.2kWh battery pack with a stated range of up to 312 km, while the second uses a larger 40.5kWh pack that should provide a range of up to 453 km. Although the specifics of any powertrain improvements are not yet available, we can anticipate greater performance or greater range. Also possible is faster charging.
Prices anticipated
The new Nexon EV will cost more than the existing model, which has an ex-showroom pricing range of Rs. 14.49 lakh to Rs. 19.54 lakh. It will be a considerably more upscale competitor to the Mahindra XUV400 EV with these modifications.
