For quite some time, Ather Energy has been developing a more economical 450X model. It will be launched on August 11th under the name 450S. The electric scooter’s manufacturer is already taking reservations. Currently, Ather Energy has unveiled a 450S teaser image. According to the illustration, the 450S and 450X will have the exact same appearance. It will, however, have a new display design.
Features of the Ather 450S:
The 450S’ new instrument cluster has previously been made known by the manufacturer. It will be a coloured LCD display that will display a variety of data. The electric scooter might be equipped with a joystick to operate the screen.
It’s possible that some functions, like cloud connectivity, won’t be available on the 450S. This means that neither document storage nor Google Maps capabilities will be available. Whether the scooter will have Bluetooth connectivity or not is not yet known.
Taking into account that the Ather 450S and 450X both have the same peak speed. It is probable that the 450S will receive the 450X’s electric powertrain.
The motor’s maximum power output is 6.4 kW, or 8.58 bhp, and its peak torque output is 26 Nm.
The 450X’s battery pack has a capacity of 3.7 kWh and an IDC-stated range of 146 km. The battery pack is anticipated to have a rated capacity of 3 kWh given that the 450S is specified to have an IDC range of 115 km.
Price of the Ather 450S:
Ather has stated that the 450S will cost 1.3 lakh ex-showroom. It should be noted that this is an introductory price. We also know that the scooter has an IDC range of 115 kilometres and a top speed of 90 kmph.
