Sneak peek into the Maruti Suzuki EVX electric SUV for the first time

Maruti Suzuki has been working on a few electric vehicles that will be delivered in the future for a considerable amount of time. The company’s first electric vehicle, internally known as YY8, which previously debuted the concept version as Maruti Suzuki EVX at Auto Expo 2023, is ready to launch in India. Prior to its official debut, the car was spied on while it was being tested in Krakow, Poland, and some of its most important features and designs were made known.

According to the pictures, the EV resembles the concept version quite a bit. The forthcoming EV was also observed with mounted rear door handles on the C-pillar in addition to this.

Features of the Maruti Suzuki EVX electric SUV

The test mule appears to be more subdued in appearance than the massively muscled idea. The butch front fascia, sculpted bonnet shape, and heavy body cladding are among the traits that have been kept. The SUV’s tapered roofline contributes to its athletic appearance. A layered spoiler, a tough bumper, and edgy tail lamps with a full-width connecting LED strip will be seen in the Maruti Suzuki EVX’s rear.

The Maruti Suzuki EVX test mule is lit up temporarily all over. It comes with a normal set of alloy wheels, although the factory version will probably have different ones. The concept car features alloy wheels that were specifically made to reduce drag. The rear door handles situated on the C-pillar, a shark fin antenna, and a rear wiper are additional distinguishing elements.

There are many wires hanging inside the test mule. It is evident that this test car is still very much a work in progress. The dashboard’s considerable portion has been covered with camouflage. It certainly seems to have a straightforward, simplistic design.

A two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel controls affixed to the steering wheel, and a rotary control dial on the central console are a few aspects that are readily apparent. The centerpiece is a sizable touchscreen infotainment system with a digital instrument panel that is placed horizontally.

Performance of the EVX electric SUV from Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki will transition immediately to born-electric vehicles in contrast to other OEMs that are turning current ICE cars into electric ones. The platform for the Maruti Suzuki EVX electric SUV is completely new. It will be used to create a variety of EVs in the future. The overall performance of the Maruti Suzuki EVX electric SUV will be comparable to that of ICE SUVs of a similar size, including the Hyundai Creta.

A 60-kWh battery pack will be included in the Maruti Suzuki EVX electric SUV, providing a range of up to 550 kilometres. The maximum power output of the electric motor is predicted to be between 138 and 170 horsepower. Options for 2WD and all-wheel drive will be provided. The cabin of the Maruti Suzuki EVX will be roomy thanks to a dedicated EV platform. 4,300 mm long, 1,800 mm broad, and 1,600 mm height will be its dimensions. The best wheelbase in the sector is anticipated. Large wheels will provide the SUV with a commanding street presence and substantial ground clearance.
