Upcoming Tata Punch EV appears in new production renders

Tata’s upcoming product, Tata Punch EV, will help Tata grow more in the EV market and get a good grip on the growing market. Given the enormous popularity of the gasoline-powered Punch, it is logical to expect that the electric version will also be a hit. The exteriors of the Tata Punch EV will mainly resemble those of its ICE-based sister.

Pratyush Rout has produced a computer rendering of the future Tata Punch Electric based on the leaked spy photos. Tata Punch EV will maintain the same front fascia as Punch powered by petrol. At the back, it will have a charging port. The charging port is found at the back of both the Nexon EV and the Tiago EV.

The Tata Punch EV will most likely have some distinctive badging on the front grille that will point to the car’s electric heart

When compared to the ICE variant, Tata Punch EV may see further alterations. A recently seen test mule, for example, was equipped with rear disc brakes. The existing petrol-powered Punch features front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.

Inside, the Tata Punch EV will have many of the same features as the ICE-based Punch. A floating 7-inch touchscreen entertainment system, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, premium upholstery, a flat-bottom steering wheel, automatic climate control, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay are all included.

The test mule’s interior revealed a rotary dial, indicating the possibility of an automated parking brake. This feature already exists in Nexon EV Max. It can be manually controlled as well as operating automatically by default. For the Tata Punch EV, a range of about 300 kilometres sounds reasonable. A smaller battery pack might be employed since Tata would be aiming for a low price point.
