MG Comet EV booking starts in India: Starts at Rs 7.78 lakh

MG Motors India has begun accepting bookings for the newly launched MG Comet EV, assuring customers of deliveries starting in May. To secure a booking, interested individuals can pay a nominal amount of Rs 11,000. The MG Comet EV is designed with urban commuters in mind and boasts a claimed range of 230km on a single charge. It comes equipped with modern features like dual 10.25-inch color displays, LED lighting, parking cameras, airbags, and ABS.

MG Comet EV has been introduced in the Indian market for an introductory price of Rs 7.78 lakh (ex-showroom).

  • The MG Comet EV is available in three trim levels, Pace, Play and Plush.
  • The base Pace trim level is priced at Rs 7.78 lakh (ex-showroom)
  • The mid-spec Play trim level is priced at Rs 9.28 lakh (ex-showroom)
  • The top-spec Plush trim has been priced at Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom).

Please note that these prices may be subject to change once the introductory batch ends. As part of the standard offering, MG provides a 3-year/1.2 lakh kilometer warranty for the vehicle and an 8-year/1.2 lakh kilometer warranty for the battery pack. Additionally, buyers of the Comet EV will receive three years of complimentary Road Side Assistance (RSA). MG also presents customers with a wide range of warranty and service packages, with prices starting at Rs 5,000 and offering over 80 choices.

In the Indian market, the MG Comet EV competes with other hatchbacks such as the Citroen eC3 and Tata Tiago EV. The Tata Tiago EV is priced between Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 12.04 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Citroen eC3 falls within the price range of Rs 11.50 lakh to Rs 12.76 lakh (ex-showroom).
