The Tata Magic EV is a technologically advanced electric commercial vehicle and is introduced in the Indian market for the first time in the Auto Expo 2023.

Tata Magic is a Driver + 10 seat passenger vehicle of length 3790 mm and 1500 mm in width. It gets an unladen and laden height of 1890 and 1870 mm with 2100 mm long wheelbase. It promises a range of 140 km and is powered by the brand EVOGEN’S powertrain. It comes with a battery capacity of 14-20 kWh and it is capable of delivering a torque of 90 – 115 Nm.
It has a gross weight of 2180 kg with a payload of 825 kg. It showcases a black grill with chrome elements, squared-shaped halogen headlamps, blacked-out bumpers with circular fog lamps and squared windows. It has 13-inch steel wheels with black-coloured covers with vertical-stacked taillamps at the rear end of the vehicle.
The Tata Magic EV is a spacious 10-seater van, consisting of a three-spoke steering wheel, a centre-mounted instrument cluster, a 7.0-inch infotainment panel with Bluetooth connectivity and featuring a minimalist dashboard design from the Ace EV. It comes with an advanced battery cooling system, with IP 67-rated water and dust-proof driving parts.
It is capable of slow, fast and home charging options. The battery can be fully charged in 1.1 to 1.7 hours via the fast charging option and the battery can be fully charged in 6 to 6.5 hours via the slow charging option. Hence, the owner of the vehicle can charge the vehicle according to his/her convenience and the time which is available. The vehicle is spacious so that people can easily accommodate luggage and others because mainly it is used for carrying various things and students can accommodate their school bags as it is also widely used for commute by school authorities for its students.
The safety of the passengers has been safeguarded by a multi-point seatbelt and a rear view wide camera.
Estimated Cost and Price of the Magic EV
The pricing and availability of the Tata Magic EV are likely to be announced in the coming weeks. It is expected that the all-electric minivan to carry a premium over the Ace EV, which starts at Rs. 9.9 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
