Following numerous spy shots of Citroen’s upcoming EV, the French automaker has finally released the first teaser of the eC3, its upcoming electric hatchback. The Citroen eC3 will go on sale in the third quarter of 2023, competing with the Tata Tiago EV. The eC3 will be the electric version of the ICE Citroen C3, with similar exterior styling and design.
Previous sightings of the Citroen eC3 test mule reveal distinguishing features such as a charging flap mounted on the front fender.
The interior of the Citroen eC3 will feature a redesigned centre console area with a toggle switch replacing the traditional gear lever stalk. A 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a height-adjustable driver seat, a manual air conditioner, and steering-mounted controls will round out the interior.
The Citroen eC3’s battery specifications are unknown at this time. However, we anticipate that it will be powered by a 20-25kWh battery pack with an electric range of 250 to 300km. The Citroen eC3 will most likely start at less than Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
