Indian Hotels Company adds whopping 224 new EV charging points

As the EV era in India is exploding, we need more EV charging points across our country to help make the country reliable for an EV-oriented future. To help make these new-age EV charging points much more accessible, Indian Hotels Company or IHCL has partnered with Paathya to install 224 new EV charging stations across 92 of its properties in India.

All these EV charging points have been made in collaboration with the leading player in this business Tata Power, across various TajSeleQtions, Vivanta, Ginger and amã Stays & Trails properties by IHCL in the country. This will truly help visitors and tourists to easily charge their EVs and give the confidence to EV buyers to sit back & relax at these hotels while they can easily charge their EVs at the hotel during their stay.

Speaking about this initiative, Gaurav Pokhariyal, Executive Vice President – Human Resources, IHCL, stated, “At IHCL, sustainability is at the core of all that we do. The installation of the EV charging points is in line with our focus on Environmental Stewardship, which is one of the key pillars of Paathya. Today, we are seeing a major paradigm shift across the globe as an increasing number of people are gravitating towards alternative or less energy-intensive options of transport. At IHCL, we will continue our endeavour to embrace green sources of energy while making sustainability measures easily accessible for our customers.”

These chargers can be accessed by the guests staying at various IHCL properties, allowing them to experience reliable and worry-free facilities while discovering breathtaking destinations across the country. IHCL has also announced its sustainability commitments for the year 2030 under Paathya, undoubtedly this move and its continuous commitment to a greener India will motivate EV buyers across the country.
