MG Comet EV’s in-car voice assistant to be operated by Jio Platforms

With the use of Jio’s Digital Assets featured in the MG Comet EV, MG Motor India, and Jio Platforms have teamed to provide users with a Hindi and English, or “Hinglish,” Voice Assistant experience. Modern connected-car technology has always been used in MG Motors’ production of its vehicles. The partnership between MG Motors and Jio Platforms makes it possible for contemporary, smart mobility solutions to prominently demonstrate MG Motors’ commitment to offering the world a “futuristic urban mobility ecosystem” while also increasing user experiences.

The MG Comet EV’s and Jio’s connected features

Jio’s innovative concepts, such as the introduction of a “Hinglish” Voice Assistant system that can be used with music applications, networking platforms, and hardware, will be felt by those who own the MG Comet EV. The ‘HelloJio’ Voice Assistant was developed to comprehend and reply to traditional Indian speakers with a variety of dialects and speech patterns. Using a wake phrase, touching an icon on the infotainment screen, or a button on the steering wheel will activate the HelloJio Voice Assistant.

The user can also get assistance from the voice assistant by asking it questions about cricket, the weather, news, horoscopes, and other subjects. The HelloJio Voice Assistant may also be used to turn on or off the air conditioning and even to play music. Jio’s eSIM is also installed in the MG Comet EV, which significantly increases safety because it can be used to identify the vehicle and secure communications while it is in operation. This simulation was built into it from the beginning.

What is MG Motor saying about this?

Speaking about the collaboration, Mr. Gaurav Gupta, the deputy manager and managing director of MG Motor India, said, “The current trend focuses increasingly on software-driven devices, and our current partnership with a tech creator like Jio in the Smart Mobility space is an important milestone towards establishing MG Motor as a tech leader in the automotive industry. The MGI-Jio alliance will make sure that the GenZ customers who purchase our recently released MG Comet EV have a more enjoyable driving experience while also receiving amazing in-car experiences and safety protections.

Regarding the collaboration with MG Motors India, Mr. Ashish Lodha, President of Jio Platforms, stated, “Our continued partnership and developments with MG Motor India are a significant milestone in that path. Users of MG vehicles will be able to receive real-time connection, entertainment, and connected car experiences with a new level of “Talk to your car” thanks to the HelloJio Voice Assistant, Streaming, Payment Apps, eSIM, and Jio IOT. It represents a dedication to the advancement of technology in the automobile sector, with innovation serving as its primary pillar.

MG Motor has been creating automobiles over the years that include cutting-edge technology. The MG Hector, the first automobile in India to feature Internet access, was their first distinctive vehicle. After that, they introduced the MG ZS EV, the first internet-based SUV that is entirely electric. The MG Gloster, on the other hand, featured top technologies including adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking (AEB). The MG Comet EV now has the first ‘Hinglish’ Voice Assistant connected to streaming applications.
