According to Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, the largest automaker in India, the concept eVX will be introduced in India by FY2024 as the company’s first-ever all-electric product. Together with other small SUVs, the Hyundai Creta EV will be a competitor for the forthcoming electric SUV from Maruti. At this year’s Auto Expo, the business showcased the first-ever prototype eVX, featuring a futuristic design meant to highlight the brand’s dedication to environmentally friendly transportation.
A brand-new car with a gorgeous coupe-like SUV style that Maruti Suzuki had never previously displayed was the concept car on display at the Auto Expo. With proportions of 4,300mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,600mm in height, the SUV exuded very contemporary design elements and a commanding height.
The all-new Concept Maruti Suzuki eVX has a traditional electric vehicle front end with no huge grille apertures, but rather a straightforward front end that looks powerful without sharp edges. The classic front grille has been replaced with a gloss black strip that connects the futuristic-looking LED headlights.
This characteristic is further accentuated by a V-shaped design created by the headlights and four tiny LED DRLs. A huge body-coloured bumper in the middle of the fascia has the Suzuki logo, and the bottom bumper sports two tiny LED DRLs as well as a massive cladding and silver skid plate.
The Maruti Suzuki eVX boasts brawny wheel arches on the flanks that house enormous full-faced futuristic-looking wheels and black plastic wrapping that conveys the SUV’s toughness.
One of this SUV’s standout features is its rear end, which has a coupe-like appearance and is reminiscent of SUVs of a comparable grade, such the Lamborghini Urus. To further its conceptual motif, it has a spoiler on top that extends over the sharply angled back windscreen. It also has distinctive LED taillamps joined by a double LED strip.
The Indo-Japanese automaker explained that the concept behind the entire Concept Maruti Suzuki eVX and its futuristic design elements is to deliver high levels of aerodynamic efficiency by lowering the drag coefficient, differentiating it as a car with advanced technology. This was stated during the unveil at the Auto Expo 2023. Maruti also disclosed that the eVX’s powertrain will be supported by a 60kWh battery pack with a maximum driving range of 550km.
Another potential contender of the EVX is the all-electric Hyundai Creta, whose test mule was seen a few weeks ago. According to rumours, the Kona Electric’s battery and motor combinations, which include a 100 kW electric motor and a 39.2 kWh battery pack, may be used in the Creta EV. This would give the Creta EV a claimed range of more than 400 km. At the 2025 Auto Fair, the brand-new Hyundai Creta EV is anticipated to make its debut. Overall, the introduction of the Maruti Suzuki Concept eVX in India is widely awaited because it demonstrates the company’s dedication to environmentally friendly and cutting-edge motoring.
