Piaggio Vehicles launches its new Ape E-City FX Max and Ape E-Xtra FX Max electric 3-wheelers in India

Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited has launched a new electric vehicle line. Ape E-city FX Max and Ape E-Xtra FX Max stand out from the competition thanks to improved performance, more features, and a best-in-class warranty. The new range offers a revolutionary driving experience while emitting zero emissions, making it a modern last-mile transit choice for urban India.

It offers a unique and sustainable proposition with a number of class-leading characteristics thanks to its innovative batteries, automatic gearbox, superior power and torque, lack of gear or clutch, safety doors, and full digital dashboard. The mobility landscape in India is poised to shift dramatically, due to a new generation of fixed-battery electric three-wheelers driven by cutting-edge lithium-ion smart batteries.

Piaggio recently announced two new three-wheeled electric vehicles: the Ape E-City FX Max for passengers and the Ape E-Xtra FX Max for cargo.

In addition to the fixed battery configuration present in the current model, the Ape E-City FX Max will soon include a swappable battery option. The vehicle’s seat height has also been adjusted for improved visibility and control when driving. This enhances driver navigation while also allowing owners to track and manage their vehicles more effectively.

The Max Range was officially launched at the Italian Embassy in Delhi. Mr. Vincenzo de Luca, the Italian ambassador to India, unveiled the electric three-wheelers in the presence of Mr. Diego Graffi, Chairman & MD, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, Mr. Sudhanshu Agrawal, EVP and Business Head, Electric Vehicles and Exports, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, and invited dignitaries from the Government of India.

Along with the launch of the new range, Piaggio inked a Memorandum of Understanding with key business partners to ensure continued improvements in the sector and that India’s development of a robust EV infrastructure continues.
