A New Era of Electric Mobility
The BE 6e is one of two new electric coupe-SUVs unveiled by Mahindra, alongside the XEV 9e. With an impressive ARAI-certified range of up to 682 km, 281 hp of power, and a thrilling 0-100 kph sprint time of just 6.7 seconds, the BE 6e is designed for performance and efficiency. This model is built on Mahindra’s scalable INGLO platform, which utilizes advanced LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology.
Battery Options and Performance
The BE 6e offers two battery pack options: a 59 kWh unit and a 79 kWh unit. The base variant, known as Pack 1, comes with a smaller battery, while the higher-spec trims will be revealed later. Both variants deliver impressive torque of 380 Nm, ensuring a dynamic driving experience. Currently, the BE 6e is available only in rear-wheel drive, with an all-wheel-drive version potentially on the horizon.
Striking Exterior Design
The exterior of the BE 6e is a standout feature, closely resembling its radical concept design. The sharp, edgy styling includes pronounced wheel arches, a dual-tone finish, and a unique air duct between the headlights for improved aerodynamics. The illuminated logos, C-shaped LED daytime running lights, and full-width wrap-around LED taillights add to its sporty appeal. With dimensions of 4371 mm in length, 1907 mm in width, and 1627 mm in height, the BE 6e commands a strong road presence.
Innovative Interior Features
Step inside the BE 6e, and you’ll find a cabin that mirrors the boldness of its exterior. The interior features a halo-like trim that creates a cockpit-like feel, with dual 12.3-inch floating screens running Mahindra’s new MAIA software, which includes over 30 pre-installed apps. A segment-first augmented reality head-up display enhances the driving experience, while the floating center console houses an aircraft-style drive mode selector and wireless charging.
Top-spec variants come equipped with luxurious features such as dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof with integrated multi-color lighting, a Dolby Atmos 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite for enhanced safety. The BE 6e also offers a unique BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) feature, allowing passengers to stream content directly from their devices.
Charging and Range
The BE 6e’s larger 79 kWh battery pack boasts an impressive ARAI claimed range of 682 km, while the WLTP range is estimated at 550 km. Mahindra provides a lifetime warranty on the battery pack, ensuring peace of mind for owners. Using a 175 kW DC fast charger, the BE 6e can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. Standard charging options include an 11.2 kW AC charger or a 7.3 kW charger available for purchase.
