Honda will launch its electric scooter in India on 27th November

Honda will eventually reveal the all-electric Activa on November 27 after much speculation and excitement. According to sources, the electric Activa would be the company’s first electric product in India and will perform similarly to its IVE cousin. Read more about the electric Honda Activa here. The chassis will be altered to provide room for the battery pack in the all-electric Activa, which has been under development for some time and will utilize the same Activa platform. In addition to helping control expenses, this will enable large production without requiring additional funding.

Although the battery pack’s performance is unknown at this time, it should operate similarly to the ICE Activa and have a range of roughly 100 kilometers. Telescopic front forks, disc brakes, and an all-digital instrument cluster with phone connectivity are anticipated features of the electric Honda Activa. Compared to the ICE version, the electric Activa should also have a bigger boot.

Honda Activa Electric A Rival Model

Honda is lagging behind as the majority of its rivals, including Hero MotoCorp, TVS, and Bajaj, have made a name for themselves in the EV sector. Therefore, companies in the industry like Ather and Ola are competing with the electric Activa in addition to them. Stay tuned for more information, which will be revealed on November 27. Additionally, battery-swapping technology is expected to be included in the model.

In order to combine cost considerations and different customer needs, Honda is also creating a number of battery technologies for its next lineup. The majority of the production will be carried out internally. Currently, nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) cell chemistry is used in Honda vehicles.

According to reports, company is developing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells for its next electric cars. The Electric Activa would make use of these intended LFP cells. Additionally, this will facilitate the quicker uptake of electric two-wheelers. The second EV to enter Honda’s portfolio is the CUV e electric scooter. Clean Urban Vehicles, or CUV for short, emphasizes the value of driving an electric car and avoiding emissions.

Honda says the CUV e will have a range of about 70 kilometers on a single charge and be powered by two detachable battery packs. A 5-inch or a 7-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity are the two display options available.

The CUV e also has a reverse feature and three riding modes: Standard, Sport, and Eco.
