Renault 4 E-Tech EV with 400 km/h and 148 horsepower was unveiled globally

Renault debuted its 4 E-Tech EV on Monday at the Paris Motor Show. Constructed on the CMF-B platform, which will serve as the foundation for the upcoming Renault Duster, the 4 E-Tech may be included in the brand’s upcoming electric vehicle portfolio for the Indian market. The 4 E-Tech is a handsome and effective device that blends modern electric technology with classic design cues from the original model. This introduction is a significant turning point in Renault’s journey toward sustainable mobility and demonstrates the company’s increasing emphasis on electric vehicles.

Renault 4 E-Tech: Design and Specifications

The 4 E-Tech blends vintage Renault 4 components with contemporary styling. In homage to the original, the front features a flat grille with an illuminated emblem and circular LED DRLs inside. It has three creases at the bottom of the doors, which are a throwback to the design of the previous model, and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. The vehicle retains the rear door quarter window and has two useful roof rails. For further versatility, a retractable fabric roof is an option.

Vertical taillights that extend into the rear bumper frame a prominent “4” emblem on the tailgate, giving it a sleek, contemporary appearance. With a dual-screen arrangement and a tech-focused cabin, the 4 E-Tech features a 10-inch touchscreen with integrated Google apps and a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster. For increased safety, it has 26 driver assistance functions via Level 2 ADAS.

Voice control made intelligent by ChatGPT is available with the virtual assistant ‘Reno’. In order to increase versatility and sustainability, the automobile also offers bidirectional charging, which enables it to power other devices or return energy to the grid.Two powertrain choices are available for the 4 E-Tech. The 110kW motor and 52kWh battery power the 150bhp and 245Nm torque of the Comfort variant. The Urban Range variant, which has a 40kWh battery and a 90kW motor that generates 120 horsepower and 225 Nm of torque, is a more portable choice. With a 300 km range, this model is ideal for short trips and city driving.
