Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal and Kunal Kamra’s Twitter feud highlights an Ola EV problem

Comedian Kunal Kamra and Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal got into a heated argument today when Kamra brought up the company’s electric scooters’ service center situation.

The dispute started when Mr. Kamra uploaded a picture of several electric scooters parked at an Ola service center on his official X account. Do customers in India have a voice? Do they merit this? For many people who earn a daily salary, two-wheelers are essential. “If you have any complaints about Ola Electric, please share your story below and tag everyone,” he added. He addressed a user who claimed Ola offers “pathetic service” in a another post. Mr. Kamra remarked, “What’s worse is the leader has no reply.”

But Bhavish Aggarwal took exception at his message, calling it a “paid tweet” and urging Mr. Kamra to “come and help” them.

“Kunal Kamra, please come and assist us since you care so much! I’ll even give you more money than you made from your unsuccessful comedic career or from this sponsored tweet. If not, please be silent while we concentrate on resolving the problems for the actual clients. Backlogs will soon be removed as we’re quickly growing the service network,” the Ola CEO stated on X. Next, Mr. Kamra replied to Mr. Aggarwal’s post.

Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal and Kunal Karma Debate

“Sit quietly, buy a tweet, and have a disastrous comedic career. At his most modest, an Indian businessman… “I’ll delete all social media and sit quietly forever if you can prove I’m paid for this tweet or anything else I must’ve said against private companies,” he declared.

A video of his stand-up performance from the previous year was also tagged by him. “Here’s a video from last year when I shocked an audience about my failing comedic career… Anything more, you haughty, inadequate, jerk.” In response to Mr. Kamra’s post, Mr. Aggarwal once more invited him to visit an Ola service center.

“Chot lagi? Hua dard? Did Aaja’s visit to the repair center hurt? We have a lot of work ahead of us. I’ll give you more money than your failed shows do. Demonstrate to your viewers your genuine concern and if you’re just gas,” he said.

Instead, Kunal Kamra requested that Mr. Aggarwal offer a “total refund” to any Ola EV customers who wish to return their device and bought it during the previous four months. “I don’t require your cash. People who are unable to get to work depend on you to be accountable. Demonstrate your genuine concern for your clients,” he stated.

The CEO of Ola responded to his article by saying that their customers have “enough programs” in case their service is delayed. Government data indicated that Ola Electric saw its dominance wane as a result of servicing network issues, and that September saw its lowest monthly sales of the year.

For the second consecutive month, Ola Electric, which debuted on the stock market almost two months ago, saw a decrease in month-over-month sales in September with 23,965 units sold.

According to the report, its market share dropped for five consecutive months to 27% in September from over 50% in April due to its declining month-over-month sales.
