Mahindra ZEO Electric 4W Truck Released, Pricing from Rs 7.52 Lakh with ADAS and BaaS

Mahindra introduces the 246 km range, ADAS, and BaaS-equipped ZEO electric 4W truck. The ZEO provides a cost-effective and environmentally friendly last-mile delivery option, starting at Rs 7.52 lakh. Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced the ZEO, a fully electric 4W truck, adding to their lineup of commercial vehicles. With this, the company enters the electric 4W truck market for the first time, hoping to take on competitors like the Tata Ace EV. The ZEO is part of Mahindra’s Last Mile Mobility line, which also includes a selection of cars that run on gasoline, CNG, diesel, and electric fuels.

Mahindra ZEO Electric Truck Specifications

There are two versions of the Mahindra ZEO EV available: Zeo V1 and Zeo V2, both of which have a pre-built body with the suffix DV200. With a rental fee of Rs 2.25 per kilometer, Mahindra’s BaaS (Battery as a Service) program further enhances the beginning price of an alluring Rs 7.52 lakh (ex-showroom).With two battery options (18.4 kWh and 21.3 kWh), the ZEO has a 160 km real-world range and a 246 km claimed ARAI range.

Three different charging options are available: home charging (7 hours), AC fast charging (3 hours), and DC rapid charging via CCS2 connection (60 minutes for 100 km range). A single electric motor can reach a maximum speed of 60 km/h and produces 40 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque.

The ZEO is fitted with a number of cutting-edge features from Mahindra, such as Eco and Power drive modes, a creep function, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) with lane departure warning, headway monitoring, forward collision warning, and pedestrian collision warning, and a driver monitoring system with driver fatigue warning, driver coaching, and driver behavior insights.

The ZEO has a forward-control arrangement and a conventional small pickup truck design. The front fascia prominently features Mahindra’s iconic vertical slats, which are accentuated in blue to accentuate the car’s electric credentials. The entire car is accented with blue, including the grille, rearview mirrors, and side stickers that blatantly say “ELECTRIC.” The ZEO had steel wheels with dual-tone wheel covers, halogen headlights, and a single windshield wiper. Up to three people can stay in the cabin, and the load bed can support 765 kg.
