MG Windsor EV records more than 15,000 bookings in a single day

On the first booking day, the MG Windsor EV was met with an extraordinary amount of interest. In the first 24 hours after the reservations opened on October 3 at 7:30 am, the business secured 15,176 bookings, making history as the first passenger electric vehicle in India to accomplish this milestone in a single day. On October 12, 2024, customer deliveries of the electric crossover utility vehicle (CUV) are scheduled to commence.

Clients can pay a nominal fee of Rs. 11,000 to reserve the Windsor EV online or at their local MG dealership by visiting the brand’s official website. The MG Windsor has a sleek and futuristic look and is based on the Wuling Cloud EV sold worldwide. Its design combines elements of SUV and sedan body styles.

The Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program allows for the renting of batteries for an extra Rs. 3.5 per kilometer, with a competitive starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakh for the MG Windsor EV. For individuals who would rather buy everything at once, the starting price is Rs. 13,49,800 (ex-showroom).

MG Windsor EV Battery: Range

A front axle-mounted electric motor and a 38kWh Li-ion battery pack power the MG Windsor EV. It is stated to provide 200Nm of torque and 136PS of power. There are four driving modes available for the electric CUV: Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport. It states that it can go 322 kilometers on a single charge.

Four color options are available for the Windsor EV: Clay Beige, Pearl White, Turquoise Green, and Starbust Black. A lifetime battery warranty, free charging at public chargers for a year via the eHUB by MG app, a guaranteed 60% buyback after three years or 50,000 km, and other benefits are all provided by MG Motor India.

A 38 kWh Li-ion battery pack with IP67 certification for dust and water resistance powers the Windsor. Four eye-catching color options are offered for the MG Windsor EV: Starburst Black, Pearl White, Clay Beige, and Turquoise Green. MG provides a lifetime battery warranty to the original owner, a year of free charging at public stations through the eHUB by MG app, and a guaranteed 60% repurchase after three years or 45,000 km in order to increase its allure.
