BMW has finally surpassed Tesla in European EV sales,  report says

Data indicates that BMW briefly surpassed Tesla in the European market for electric vehicle sales.

For a number of years, Tesla has been the top electric vehicle manufacturer in Europe; nonetheless, in its home market, domestic company BMW sold around 300 more cars than its American competitor.

BMW outpaced Tesla in terms of total EV sales in the European market this month, selling 14,869 units, according to data from market research firm JATO Dynamics.

The company has demonstrated to both itself and its rivals that it can compete with the best, which is a significant victory. But there are a few key points to remember, such as the fact that Tesla continues to lead by a wide margin in terms of total EV sales for the year.

Although Tesla, the most valuable car company in the world, continues to be the leader, established manufacturers like Volvo is catching up because of the uncertainty surrounding EV incentives and subsidies.
Some reports state that Elon Musk’s divisive reputation as CEO has also been affecting attitude toward Tesla.
According to the data, Tesla witnessed a 16% decline in registrations last month, while BMW saw a 35% increase in sales from a year earlier.
