Based on India’s potential to become a major export hub for electric two-wheelers, Director and CEO KN Radhakrishnan of TVS Motor Company wants to increase the company’s sales of electric cars to both developing and developed nations.
According to analysts, the business intends to utilize its facility in Indonesia to serve neighboring markets in the ASEAN area, where it began selling its electric scooter, the TVS iQube, last year.

Compared to 39,000 units during the same period last year, TVS Motor Co. sold 52,000 units of electric two-wheelers in the first quarter of current fiscal year. “We firmly think that India will become a significant two-wheeler EV export hub. We are certain that we will remain a major player in the EV market thanks to the ongoing improvements being made to the infrastructure and supply chain for EVs, stated Radhakrishnan.
He went on, “As for us, we’re going to start exporting our electric vehicle products to ASEAN markets. We’ve already started doing advanced testing there, so everything is set.” Thus, it will get underway.”
He stated that the company has a well-planned product range for electric mobility and that some of them would be released shortly. “We started TVS iQube to ASEAN and Asian markets last year,” he continued. He stated, “Month after month, we are reviewing and then we are supporting this with the current network,” in reference to the growth of the electric two-wheeler sales network in India. In India, we have a robust network of primary and secondary dealers. Thus, we’ll continue to grow that.
According to Radhakrishnan, the company presently sells its iQube through roughly 750 dealers in over 450 Indian locations.
