Tata Curvv EV’s interior was leaked before its official launch

Tata Motors has unveiled yet another teaser for the Curvv EV ahead of its launch August 7, 2024. By the end of the next month, the ICE variant will arrive after the EV version. Tata Motors has released a new promotional film featuring an interior look at the production-spec Curvv EV, which was first shown off a few days ago. The video also verifies that Tata’s most recent electric car has level 2 ADAS technology, with controls for some of the features located on the steering wheel.

The big central air intake, high-set LED light bar, and split headlamp arrangement now more closely resemble the Nexon EV in terms of style. Modifications to the window line, the rear bumper and the tail lamps’ smoked-out appearance make the changes to the profile and rear less noticeable.

The major news right now is that the most recent promotional material shows off the interior of the SUV, which shares similarities with the Nexon EV’s fascia. The fundamental dashboard design is similar to that of the Nexon, complete with a fully digital instrument display and a sizable free-standing touchscreen mounted atop the dashboard. Still, there are a few things different from the smaller Tata. First, there is a strip of ambient lighting running down the upper edge of the patterned panel that divides the upper and lower dashboard.

The panel is completed in a contrasting shade. Like other new Tata cars and SUVs, the steering wheel is a four-spoke unit with an illuminated Tata logo; nevertheless, what will catch people’s attention are the two lower buttons on the right spoke. The button on the left may be identified as the lane keep assist switch, and the button next to it allows you to pre-set a safe distance from the car in front of you a feature that works in tandem with adaptive cruise control.

Speaking about the film itself, this promotional piece showcases the new Tata Curvv EV making its way up the peak of Sandakphu Mountain, which is located close to the eastern border of India and Nepal.

On its journey to the summit, the Curvv is shown overcoming a range of challenges, including cracked sections of pavement, unpaved areas, rain, switchbacks, and sharp inclinations. It’s interesting to remember that Tata had a similar campaign with the Punch back in 2021.

There are rumours that the Curvv EV, which is scheduled for release in India on August 7, will have a 600 km range on a single charge. Tata has not yet confirmed any information regarding the powertrain, which will probably only be revealed during the unveiling.
