200 units of the BYD Seal EV were delivered on the first day of sales

In a single day, 200 Seal EVs were distributed nationwide as part of a massive delivery camp organised by BYD India. The carmaker organised the delivery campaign across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi. The electric sedan has recorded 1,000 bookings in the past. In India, more than 1,000 orders for the Seal have been placed since reservations opened in late February.

BYD Seal EV: Cost, Types, and Available Colours

At a price range of Rs 41 lakh to Rs 53 lakh, the Seal is BYD’s most costly electric vehicle in India. It was introduced on March 5. This new vehicle is part of BYD’s current portfolio, including the Atto 3 SUV (Rs 33.99 lakh) and the e6 MPV (Rs 29.15 lakh). All costs are listed ex-showroom in India.

Being the first luxury electric MPV in India, it is unique in that it is built on an upgraded e-Platform 3.0. It has four stunning colour options: Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, and Arctic Blue. Its dimensions are 1,875 mm in width, 1,460 mm in height, and 4,800 mm in length with a 2,920 mm wheelbase. It keeps its 145 mm of ground clearance even when empty.

The BYD Seal includes a 15.6-inch intelligent rotating touchscreen display, 10.25-inch LCD instrumentation, wireless charging, an NFC card key, ventilated and heated front seats, a 12-speaker sound system, automatic dual-zone heat pump air conditioning, Cell to Body (CTB) technology, intelligence Torque Adaption Control (iTAC), nine airbags, ADAS Level 2, and more features.

All of the Seal lineup’s variations have the outstanding BYD Blade Battery. For the dynamic version, for example, a 61.44 kWh battery provides 510 km of range and 7.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. Next up, the 82.56 kWh battery capacity is found in the premium and performance models. The former gives an impressive 650 km range and 5.9 seconds for 0-100 km/h acceleration, while the latter has a slightly lower range of 580 km but still makes an impressive 3.8 seconds for 0-100 km/h acceleration.
