Mahindra is making enormous progress in terms of design innovation and technological integration, as demonstrated by its newest models, like the XUV 3XO. Continuing along the same route, Mahindra has just received a new headlight design patent. It will probably be utilised with the next electric iteration of the popular XUV700 SUV. Concept models and test mules have shown that’s next generation of electric vehicles would have C-shaped lighting components.
The recently patented headlight features two C-shaped housings with a similar design. The entire appearance and feel are improved by the ice-cube LED lighting. The outside body paint colour and the outer edges of the C-shaped head lamp housing may match. The entire headlight housing is shaped like a triangle. LED DRLs will be installed around it.
Mahindra XUV700 Design and Features
The recently patented headlight design for the Mahindra XUV700 EV exudes a contemporary, futuristic vibe. Except the timeless, traditional circular headlamps seen on the Thar SUV, this new headlamp design is arguably the most eye-catching one found on any Mahindra SUV now on the road. Mahindra is making every effort to make sure that every single one of its next generation of electric vehicles (EVs) offers customers something new. The business must continue to rule the electric era, which necessitates meticulous attention to even the smallest design aspects.
The patent illustrations make it clear that there are several LED projectors for high- and low-beam applications. The new headlight design, when paired with the LED DRLs, may become a distinguishing characteristic of Mahindra’s next electric lineup.
In addition to their unique and striking appearance, the new headlights probably prioritise increasing safety. Better lighting and high-end features like cornering lights or adaptive headlights can achieve this. These functions will come in especially handy for late-night, lengthy trips. There will be less strain on the driver, which lowers the possibility of unfavourable consequences.
The Mahindra XUV700 EV will be marketed under the XUV.e8 name. Mahindra will later introduce the XUV.e9, a coupe variant of the XUV.e8. The cutting-edge INGLO platform will serve as the foundation for all future Mahindra EVs. Base model XUV700 EVs are anticipated to have a 60-kWh battery pack. These will be available in FWD style and will have a single motor. More advanced models will feature a dual-motor AWD system. There will be an 80 kWh battery pack. The range might be between 400 and 450 km.
