Tata Passenger Electric, Shell India collaborate for EV charging stations

On Thursday, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility announced that it has partnered with Shell India Markets to work together to build public charging stations all around India. According to a statement from the firm, which is a division of Tata Motors, the partnership would use Shell’s extensive fuel station network and TPEM insights from over 1.4 lakh Tata EVs on Indian roads to set up chargers at sites regularly visited by EV owners.

“Through this partnership, we aim to improve the existing charging infrastructure, which is crucial for widespread adoption of EVs in the country, especially since the customer base continues to expand,” said Balaje Rajan, the chief strategy officer of TPEM. According to Sanjay Varkey, Director of Shell India Markets, the business is dedicated to revolutionizing the EV charging experience by providing integrated solutions that put convenience, security, and sustainability first.
